Therapeutic Indication For Vukovic 50 mg tablets ( Vildagliptin Tablets )
Vildagliptin tablets is used for the treatment of diabetes mellitus type-2 in adults :
- In patients whose blood sugar is not controlled alone by diet modification and physical exercise alone. And in patients whom metformin treatment is inappropriate due to contraindications or intolerance;
as in combination therapy with:
- Metformin, in patients whom blood sugar with insufficient glycaemic control.
- A thiazolidinedione, in patients with insufficient glycaemic control
Vildagliptin is also indicated for use in combination with insulin (with or without metformin) when diet and exercise plus a stable dose of insulin do not provide adequate glycaemic control.
