Telmisartan 40 mg + Hydrochlorthiazide 12.5 mg – Telmisartan and amlodipine combination is used to treat high blood pressure( Hypertension).
Mechanism of Action- Telmisartan
It is an Angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB).
It blocks the action of angiotensin
It acts by relaxing blood vessels thereby reducing the Blood pressure.
Mechanism of Action of Hydrochlorthiazide
It is a diuretic means it increases the urine output therby decreases blood pressure. It is also called water pill.
